How to study SEO
If you go to any forum, one way or another in contact with the SEO theme, and ask a question like “how to learn SEO?”, Then in 90% of cases the answer will be: “you need to study the forum materials”. I agree 100% that this answer is correct and that, indeed, studying SEO forums you can gather a lot of useful information, but in my opinion, this is not enough for a full SEO study, not to mention integrated Internet marketing.
So what is the best way to learn SEO? I think that each of the experts in the field of SEO did it differently. I cannot name the magic formula, following which you can become a professional optimizer in 24 hours, I also don’t know the methods of 25 and other frames that help in studying the subject, but I can give a classification, a list of sources, as well as describe the steps that can help future optimizers.
I think that each of these sources in itself cannot make a professional from a beginner, it is necessary to combine them to obtain information and improve their knowledge. Even if you complete a search engine optimization course, this does not mean that you can stop there. It is necessary to constantly improve their knowledge and skills. Each theoretical information obtained must necessarily be fixed in practice.
Conditionally we give a classification of teaching methods SEO / SEM
• Training courses with a teacher
Both methods must in any case be accompanied by information flows that will ensure the accumulation of knowledge among the listener. The main information flows can also be classified and described.
SEO – books (theory) – I think that this is the best way to get fundamental knowledge in a structured form. It is very difficult to get them on the forum or studying optimization blogs, because The information is very scattered and there is no uniform structure. Reading a good book on SEO will give you a basis that can greatly help in further studying the subject.
Books in Russian:
• I. Ashmanov, A. Ivanov – “Website promotion in search engines”
• A. Yakovlev – “Web site promotion and promotion: basics, secrets, tricks”
• Tutorial on site promotion from Semonitor
• Mike Moran, Bill Hunt – Search Engine Marketing, Inc.: Driving to Your Web Site
• Amy N. Langville, Carl D. Meyer – “Google’s PageRank and Beyond: The Science of the Search Engine Rankings”
• Jennifer Grappone, Gradiva Couzin – Search Engine Optimization: An Hour a Day
• Chris Sherman, Gary Price – “The Invisible Web: Uncovering Information Sources Search Engines Can’t See”
Of course, the English-language literature is very different from the Russian-language, it is neither bad nor good, it is just different. At first it seems that in all English-language literature there is only water, but in fact you just need to get used =). There are also very successful options, for example, those that I cited, where this obsessive style is justified, when, after reading the book, one can really understand that the material has been thoroughly studied. Americans have this style of writing when they discuss the same thing 20 times. Personally, I don’t really like this style, but there’s no other way. Russian-language literature on the intricacies of Internet marketing is still about 1000 times less than English-language, you have to read what is.
SEO forums – although many forum users argue that studying forums is the best method for studying SEO, I think that this is not the case. Of course, the SEO forum is a good place to get knowledge, but not the best for beginners, because: firstly, very little really high-quality information, but a lot of water and to isolate important information you need to spend a huge amount of time reading completely useless posts; and secondly, information is very rarely structured, it is difficult for newcomers to structure it themselves, to draw conclusions from what they have read and to put it into practice. And as you know, a large amount of unstructured information leads to chaos.
Useful SEO Forums:

• SEO Talks

SEO – blogs – usually blog posts are written not for educational purposes and not in learning style, but they can be a very good source of up-to-date information. A good idea would be to add some of the most interesting RSS feeds to your RSS reader for daily viewing of headlines and reading the most interesting posts.
Many professional SEO-specialists do not write books on SEO and do not spend much time participating in discussions on forums, and publish all their interesting thoughts on their blog.
Some SEO blogs:

• Blog Dimka
