Electronic money as a means of payment on the Internet
At the moment, more and more services are provided on the Internet, and very often you need to pay for an interesting program, some kind of service or product. In most cases, the amount is small, and you pay it, it seems like, do not mind at all. But this is where the difficulties begin, because it is not always known how to pay quickly and without much hassle. In this article we will try to consider the main methods of electronic payments that currently exist in RuNet.
Before delving into the details of technology, let’s think about what we need from electronic money?
This is, firstly, the ability to quickly and securely transfer electronic money into cash and vice versa. Secondly, to pay for various goods and services using electronic money. And it is desirable that it was possible to pay not only for software, but also, for example, for a cell phone. And it is also desirable to maximally simplify the procedure for transferring money and minimize the time it takes for funds to pass from one person to another.
The Rapida system allows you to pay for various services in Moscow using special cards. The first system we will talk about is called Rapida. It allows you to pay for various services in Moscow using special cards. It can be both utilities, services of providers, and payment for purchases in online stores. The user of the system has no personal account to which he could transfer funds. Instead, it is possible to combine several payment cards to make large purchases. System cards are sold in Moscow banks or ordered via the Internet. The list of companies participating in the system is growing every day, and now most of the services can be paid for using Rapid. However, even if the enterprise you need was not on the list, it is enough to ask in its accounting department an invoice for payment for services and use the “payment by bank details” in this system. In addition, the services of some enterprises can be paid directly at a bank branch operating with the system. You do not need to purchase a card, and the money transferred, for example, to the mobile operator, will instantly appear on your personal account. It remains to add that in order to work with the Rapida system it is not necessary to have access to the Internet. All payments can also be made using an automatic telephone operator.
Another system, very similar in its essence to “Rapid”, is called “City”. With it, the user can also pay for various services. The only difference is that there is no card payment system. Maps “City” bear on themselves a different burden: they are recorded information about the client, about his accounts at enterprises and debts to them. Moreover, this information can be checked both in any bank operating with the system and through the Internet. This is very convenient, because now the subscriber does not need to memorize a dozen of the amounts that need to be paid for various services. All information he can provide bank teller.
Another significant difference between the “City” system and “Rapida” is the possibility of conducting electronic payments via the Internet and using ATMs. If you have a Golden Crown plastic card, you can pay for services through the City system at any ATM. In this case, you will also receive all the information about the debts, and the money will be automatically withdrawn from your personal account in the bank. Another new service is making payments via the Internet with the help of Menatep SPB. Paying for a cell phone, Internet, or hot water was made possible without leaving the apartment.
Webmoney is one of the most well-known electronic payment systems in Russia. The next electronic payment system that I would like to talk about is Webmoney Transfer. This is the first service in Russia that can be rightfully called “electronic money”. Let’s see how this electronic payment system works … Each user can have one or several electronic wallets. At the moment, there are three types of wallets – rubles, dollars and euro storage. Accordingly, the “money” is also divided into three types: “rubles” (WMR), “dollars” (WMZ) and “euro” (WME). These are universal accounting units, the so-called “title units” of the system.
The most important function of the system is to transfer money from one user to another. You can transfer funds from your wallet to the wallet of your correspondent, or vice versa – to issue invoices for which the correspondent will pay to your wallet. All operations are carried out using the program Webmoney Keeper, which is very simple and easy to use.
Initially, Webmoney Transfer is anonymous for any user. You are not asked to enter any personal data, and you can have a wallet incognito. However, to open your online store or many other operations that require proof of identity.
